2006 1500HD Camper question
Hello all I usually hang out in the Class A forum, because that is what I have. It is a shortbed 6'6"
But now I'm looking for a truck camper to go hunting in. The rest of the famly doesn't go so no need for the Bounder.
Anyways I've been looking at some older campers and my question is can I get an 8' camper for a shortbed?
The truck has airbags on it. I know what my weight restrictions, the cargo sticker in the glove box says 1998 lbs rating.
Other questions what else do I need to buy for tieing the camper down?
Thanks in Advance
RE: Diesel Engine Newbie
Thanks for the input, that was exactly what i was looking for.
I forgot to mention that I am looking for one with 10000# towing.
Diesel Engine Newbie
We are shopping for a used DP, years range from 01'-06'. I would like to know if there are any Diesel engines that I should be aware of?
My grandfather (truck driver and former DP owner) was always a fan of Cummins. I am also partial to them, but would like to keep an open mind.
We are shopping for floorplan, but I would like to have something 300hp or more! We will be towing a 20' Enclosed trailer.
Thanks in advance
RE: Workhorse Brake Recall, NHTSA Campaign 09V110000
When do you'll figure they will have the parts available? I know it says we will notified by mail, but like the Norcold fridge recall, I had to be proacvtive and keep on top of them or it was never going to get done.
I guess the first step would be to take the coach to workhorse and have them inspect? I don't want to have to take it back twice.
Thanks
RE: How do you put your rig to bed?
Typical back from desert trip, Dump at home unload clothes and food, clean inside fill with fuel, clean outside every other trip. Usually done in 1.5 hour without washing outside.
Load up and ready to go in 2 hours. Quads and dirt bikes are already in enclosed trailer. Stop by on thursday night and turn on fridge at storage area. This doesn't include any additional grocery shopping or any extras. The longer trips require more time obviously. Most everything is in coach. Load food and clothes.
